Abstract :
This paper proposes a new frequency estimation scheme for single sinusoid in additive white Gaussian noise based on the frequency estimator proposed by Fitz in 1994. This new estimator has the advantages of wide estimation range and low root-mean-square error. Simulation results show that its estimation range is as wide as the M&M estimator and is root-mean-square error is lower than M&M estimator.
