Abstract

A categorical depiction about the development of tourism industry is not suitable to be the “single factor” resulting to the negative impact of regional tourism eco-security is proposed. The effect caused by background and tourism development together is emphasized and as a result the conception of eco-security on tourism area covered tourism. A Background Pressure- (Social-Industrial-Pressure) -Community Respond (BP-(S-I-P)-CR) model on tourism eco-security diagnostic is constructed for the Dongting lake area. Basic diagnosis method and index are defined initially which built a platform for quantitative diagnose the tourism eco-Security status of Dongting Lake area.
