  • Abstract
This paper reports a finite element model of passive mixing in a spiral shaped microfluidic device with alternate jets that create micro impingement. Two fluids of different species concentration are injected from 2 microchannels and the mixing effects due to alternate impingement are studied in the mixing channel for different fluids and at different inlet pressures. Small values of Reynolds number in micro levels ensure mixing by diffusion. Concentration level are obtained by solving Navier-Stokes equation and convention-diffusion equation using FEMLAB 3.0 simulation software in the steady state form
