Report on the Graduate Student Panel Discussion 2013 [Society news]

The annual Graduate Student Panel Discussion at I2MTC aims to examine topics relevant to graduate students attending I2MTC as they move forward with forming goals and pursuing their careers. Erik Timpson of the University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri chaired this year´s panel discussion, which had many attendees. The panelists and their corresponding expertise included: Dylan Crocker- Electromagnetics; Thomas Carstens- Wireless Sensors; Christian Schuss- Electronics and Solar Energy; Hui Liu- Measurement Technology; and Ben Drayton- 3D range imaging cameras. As a testament of being an international conference, the countries represented were Austria, China, Finland, Germany, New Zealand and the USA.
