Abstract :
We will describe several research projects related to the challenges of polarisation mode dispersion (PMD) in high performance systems. A brief description of these topics are the PMD emulator; WDM PMD compensation; tunable differential group delay element; accurate recirculating fibre loop; and PMD-induced RF fading.
