Abstract
The Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) is one of the fastest growing telecommunication industry. However, wireless mobile systems are more vulnerable to fraudulent access and eavesdropping. This paper proposes a new security method based on RC5 algorithm for GSM networks with strong confidentiality and better call setup time, and also to reduce network traffic. The proposed approach is simple and it can be very useful for present and future wireless communications.
