Abstract
The paper considers effects of low intensity irradiation on the liver mitochondria of normal rats and type 2 diabetic rats. It is observed that respiration control of diabetes rat mitochondria was decreased but it was normalized under the influence of the low intensity laser irradiation (lambda 632.8 nm, 0.015 W). This positive effect of laser irradiation was more prominent for mitochondria of type 2 diabetic rats. The field of application of such effects can be, first of all, biotechnology, particularly, cultivation of cells and tissues.
