Abstract
The application of FRP screw anchor, geogrid, geofoam slab and geosynthetics clay liner (GCL) in repairing slide of canal slope of expansive soils has been introduced in this paper. The FRP screw anchor was used to anchor the concrete frame girder above the berm and concrete slab below the beam, the geogrid improved the factor of safety against complete sliding surface, the geofoam slab was used to reduce the expansive force under the concrete slab and GCL was used as seepage prevention liner under the concrete slab. And the paper presents a design method, a monitoring plan and information of post-construction for this project.
