Abstract :
A class of spread-spectrum multiple-access systems with continuous phase modulation is defined. The signals are unique in that the information bits and spreading chips affect the phase separately. The signal allows shaping of the lower spectral density, via the spreading phase, with little impact on receiver complexity. Receiver complexity is driven by the information phase modulation method. A specific subclass that uses a serial MSK receiver is examined
