  • Abstract
    Based on a class of complete orthogonal function system in L2 [0,1] called as the V-system, the V- descriptor is defined in this paper. Processing lots of geometric data quickly is related with pervasive computing. V-descriptor is possibly used in the field. By using the V descriptor, the similarity measurement between given B-spline curves is describe. Thus, a new algorithm of quantitative indicant for distinguishing given pairs of curves is obtained. The algorithm can be used in some practices such as CAGD, discrete geometric signal, pattern classification, etc
