Abstract
A wideband high-frequency channel simulator is presented. The simulation consists of a software simulation of a direct-sequence spread-spectrum communication system operating over an ionospheric channel. The channel model is based on both simulated and measured wideband ionospheric transfer functions. The receiver utilizes a conjugate tapped-delay-line filter to mitigate the effects of multipath delay. An application of the simulator to measure bit-error-rates is given
