Abstract
Aiming at the research on new x-ray detection system, the design and development of a detection circuit based on DDC264 for x-ray detection are described in this paper. This new design combines both current-to-voltage and A/D conversion, so low-level current produced by photodiodes can be directly digitized. The main features of this new circuit include: current-to-voltage and A/D conversion finished in one single-chip, which will reduce the space of detection circuit; signal digital conversion is realized at the front-end of detection system, avoiding the long distance analog transmission of signal; making use of CPLD on detection board can realize the time sequence control for DDC chip, which will make detection circuit intelligent. The module design of circuit is able to match existing interface, besides it is easy to transplant the circuit to aerospace, aviation, casting, security inspection, medical and other fields.
