Abstract
A method of luminance calculation for an anisotropic diffuse reflecting interior is applied to daylight calculation. It can be used for any sky condition, interior geometry, and reflecting property of the interior surface. The shape of the interior space is described by a composition of polygonal elements. The reflecting property of interior surfaces can be specular, semispecular, or diffuse. The method was validated by scale model photometry techniques using simulated sky and Sun. The results showed a good agreement between the measured and calculated luminance distributions.<>
