Abstract
Recent efforts have shown that it is possible to use an increased number of receiver channels to reduce imaging time through non-Fourier spatial encoding. The authors have developed a modular time domain multiplexer which allows the implementation of a large number of channels for chemical shift imaging experiments. A simple example of the use of multiple receiver coils to increase spatial resolution for a given measurement is provided through the comparison of an eight element surface coil localized acquisition to a chemical shift volume imaging experiment
