Abstract
A semiautomated system was reported which takes two or more views of electrocardiogram (ECG) correlated coronary angiograms and produces a 3-D tree structure containing positions and cross-sectional areas of the reconstructed vascular bed. The system was tested using four different phantoms. These phantoms either are constructed so that at least one of the parameters under evaluation is precisely known, or is carefully measured using multiple techniques. The evaluation methods and results are presented. Experiments using complex coronary artery phantoms show that for the system under evaluation, subpixel accuracy can be achieved in reconstructing vessel lumen radii using two or three views
