Abstract
Public traffic trip is a sustainable planning to solve the facing problem of global urban transport. But, the characteristics of public traffic with low capacity, few traffic volume, slowly rate, poorly real-time and bad flexibility in China become the major obstacles. Therefore, public traffic strategy becomes a common view but not easy to extend. So the paper is trying to use the principles of Traffic Standardization and Economies of Scale, and make use of GIS spatial analysis tools to re-design an urban public traffic network with large capacity, fast rate and better time effect. At last, it is attempting to construct a sustainable future-oriented model of urban public traffic network with a case of Guangzhou City.
