Abstract
A conceptual CHP system based on SOFC/GT is presented and how the parameters effect on the heat to power ratio is investigated. As SOFC reactors are still under development, a flexible simulation tool is presented to be adapted to different cell geometries and operating conditions. The simulation model is based on mass and energy balances coupled with appropriate expressions for the reaction kinetics, thermodynamic constants and material properties. Simulation results show the SOFC/GT CHP system´s advantage over other conventional engine is that it can achieve low heat to power ratio with low stack running temperature.
