Abstract :
Summary form only, as given. In current general management approaches, technology and innovation are factors which are neglected in entrepreneurial decisions. This unbalance appears to exist because these approaches have been developed within institutions whose thinking has up to now been dominated by the economic and social sciences. The authors´ proposal is that the knowledge base of general management concepts be redefined by introducing the notion of “enterprise science”. This notion may be understood two-dimensionally as the sciences in relation to the enterprise and in terms of a selection of nontrivial entrepreneurial problems of varying priority
