Abstract :
The theory and practice of Green Infrastructure planning and construction originated from America. Now, it was mature and became an important item and method to solving the contradiction between urban and rural construction and environment protection in America. By analyzing the origin, definition and function of the Green Infrastructure roundly, it can draw a conclusion that the Green Infrastructure is a network which is composed of hubs and links. It can play a role on the levels that the urban and rural planning and construction contains. Through analyzing the four American examples of Green Infrastructure application, it proved that the theory and method of Green Infrastructure can be used to the fields of urban and rural planning and construction. So, the theory and method of Green Infrastructure is a new method for the other countries to solving the problems between urban and rural construction and environment protection.
