Abstract
This work proposes the design of a Holter long-term monitoring system, which will be used in epileptic patient diagnostics. With this Holter the patients will have more freedom and they will be able to continue their normal daily life. The system can be used to obtain the electroencephalographic signal (EEG) in real conditions, and allows the acquisition and storing of the EEG in digital form. The Holter designed has three principal parts: sixteen acquisition channels, a 68HC11 microcontroller and a 105 Mbytes hard disk drive
