Abstract
This paper investigates Love waves propagating in the layered plate structure consisting of a piezomagnetic layer and an orthotropic piezoelectric half space. The Love waves can propagate in the resulting structure and the dispersion relations of the Love waves are obtained. In the case of a Terfenol-D layer over a KNbO3 substrate, the wave exists at any rotated cut. The results showed that the phase velocity dependent on the cutting angle and the speed of these waves is sensitive to the rotated cutting angle. The conclusions have important role for designing resonators, filters and SAW devices.
