Abstract
Absorbing boundary conditions (ABCs) are applied to surfaces of finite element models of phased array antennas. The new ABCs are derived for single and double planewaves, and their accuracy limit is investigated. The example application is to a phased array waveguide H-plane scan antenna, for which finite element results are shown to agree well with method of moments results.
