Abstract :
Turbine flowmeters are frequently applied for accurate measurements of process fluids for batching, accounting, and custody transfer, for which metering errors due to degradation in instrument performance are very significant. Early detection of changes in the condition of the instrument is important. Studies have shown that signal processing methods can be applied to detect the incipience of malfunction in a turbine flowmeter. A survey of some of the applicable signal processing methods is summarized
