Abstract :
A crank-line antenna which radiates a circularly polarized wave (CPW), can be classified as a series-fed traveling-wave linear array. The antenna possesses a simple feed structure that makes it attractive for forming a 2-dimensional planar array. The purpose of the paper is to present the analysis of a 2-dimensional planar array composed of crank-line antennas. The numerical results, including the radiation pattern, gain, and aperture efficiency, are discussed for the 12 GHz band.
