Abstract
This paper emphasizes the policy and regulatory issues related to spectrum management in converged wireless world. Ever growing wireless communication needs and latest technological advancements in wireless communications require comprehensive overhauling of traditional command and control mechanism of spectrum management. A flexible, futuristic, market-driven approach with active role for all stakeholders and policing role for the regulator is proposed as the way forward for optimal utilization of radio spectrum.
