Abstract
Summary form only given as follows. This paper presents a methodology to model innovation processes. The knowledge of managers is codified in causal diagrams, which are converted into a computer model. The various nonlinear mechanisms are simulated to reflect the nonlinear behavior of the innovation process. The methodology is applied in the steel and in the food industry
