Abstract
Demonstrates that POHM is an approximation of an exact hybrid integral equation solution. This establishes the proper theoretical framework to address fundamental questions such as the continuity of current between the moment method and physical optics regions. In addition, it provides a basis for more refined approximations. The Fredholm series iteration is given as a simple example. The technique has been successfully applied to several radiation and scattering configurations.
