Abstract :
This paper presents a method to optimally determine the placement of visual detectors for process plant such as petrochemical plant using visual fire detector with dual view. Conventional protocol for fire detector mapping used by oil and gas industry are implemented and several restrictions and limitations have been stated to scale down the scope for an applicable solution. Occlusion have been added into the proposed method as a result from the preliminary test of the proposed method, and it had shown great impact on the accuracy of the result of mapping.
