Abstract :
Application of high hydrostatic pressure to a non-polar liquid changes its ionization energy due to an increase of the energy of the electronic conduction level and due to an increase of the polarization energy of the positive ion. These changes can be studied by photoconductivity measurements. Here, we report on the changes of the photoconductivity thresholds observed in solutions of TMPD in neohexane and of anthracene in 2,2,4,4 tetramethylpentane
