  • Abstract
    Nowadays, turbocharger are widely applied in turbo diesel locomotives. Taking its ability to increase the output power and lower fuel consumption and its disadvantage of “hysteresis” into account, we improve it on the basis of traditional turbocharger and make it into an automotive device with electrical properties. The “electrical bearings”, which mainly consists of synchronous generator, batteries, high-speed DC motor, replaces the mechanical bearings turbocharger of traditional. As a result, the turbine can first use the mechanical energy of the exhaust gas and then use the electric energy it brings to make the air impeller work. On the basis of completing the mission of traditional turbocharger, we highlight its merits and put forward some advice to improve its shortcomings, which is aimed at protecting the environment and making driving more convenient.
