Abstract :
In this paper, we present the design of two kinds of low-profile planar electromagnetic wave reflectors based on the transformation optics. By employing simple linear coordinate transformations, the planar reflectors can be achieved with dielectric cover constructed with homogeneous birefringent dielectric media, which reduces the complexity of practical realization. The proposed designs have been validated by full wave electromagnetic simulations. We believe the proposed design may be appliced to other reflectors with planar or low-profile features.
