Abstract :
The authors analyze the performance of a direct-sequence code-division multiple access (CDMA), in terms of bandwidth efficiency, when a fast power control is used. Coherent BPSK, reasonable for an indoor environment, is considered. Theoretical results for an ideal fast power control and simulation results assuming a realistic power control are presented for a multipath Rayleigh channel. Different kinds of coding, as block and convolutional schemes, are considered. Results obtained with an average power control technique are shown for comparison purposes
