Abstract
In this article, the diamond synthetic craft (DSC) with sideward heater has been investigated theoretically by finite element method (FEM). The results show that the distribution of temperature in the sample cell is not uniform. The highest temperature is location at the outside of graphite tube, and the lowest temperature is location at two-sides (up and down) of graphite tube. The temperature difference in sideward heater is lower than that of vertical heater about 30 %, which is a significant reason for the superiority over the vertical heater (traditional craft). We give the reason for sideward heater (new craft) superiority over the vertical heater firstly. This work has provided a new design method for optimum DSC.
