Abstract
The ormotron is a microwave M-type generator with an injected electron beam and an open resonator. In this paper the analysis has been made in the framework of the approximate analytical nonlinear theory to carry out analysis of the ormotron mode of the stationary oscillations. The analysis based on the using of the quasilinear and asymptotic expansions for the evaluation of the interaction integral. It is shown that the ormotron is a generator with the hard self-excitation
