Abstract
The Dual Trailing Wire Antenna (DTWA) on an airborne antenna system is used to transmit VLF messages to submarines. In the airborne VLF DTWA model, the transmitter is installed at the belly part of aircraft. However, different locations of transmitter may have magnificent influence to the characteristics of VLF dual trailing wire antenna. Based on FEM, we establish airborne VLF dual trailing antenna model, change the location of transmitter, and discuss the effect of different locations of transmitter to dual trailing antenna´s characteristics. At the end, we get a conclusion and offer evidence for further research.
