  • Abstract
    An array antenna suitable for the 8-band WLAN/WiMAX application is presented, fabricated and measured. Both simulated and measured results in agreement show that the proposed antenna frequency band covers the 2.4/5.2/5.8GHz WLAN operation (2400- 2484/5150-5350 /5725-5875MHz), and the 2.5/3.5/4.3/5.5GHz WiMAX operation (2500-2690/3300- 3800/4300-4990 /5250-5850/6720-7790MHz). The antenna dimension is 250×258mm2. This antenna is attractive by its simple configuration, low profile, compactness and low fabrication cost.
