Abstract :
The planar magnetron injection gun (MIG) was designed for a planar gyrotron with transverse energy extraction [1,2]. This MIG forms a sheet helical electron beam (HEB) with a high value of the pitch-factor [3] at accelerating voltage of 12 kV and current of 1A. The geometry of the designed MIG is shown in Figure 1.
