Abstract
In this study, several measuring techniques by using ultrasonic waves have been developed. The measured physical quantities are: (1) the solidification behavior of the filled plastics in a cavity, (2) the pressure in a cavity, (3) the melted behavior of resin pellets in the barrel, (4) the thickness of the molded parts, (5) the velocity of sound of the molded parts, in the injection molding process, (6) the workpiece shape and roughness in the machining process, (7) the surface condition of a grinding wheel, (8) the solidification behavior during the curing process of adhesive and so on. These quantities are obtained by measuring the amplitude and traveling time of ultrasonic waves
