Abstract
80-Gbit/s (20 Gbit/s/spl times/4) optical time-division multiplexing is demonstrated using an optical time-division multiplexer based on a hybrid integrated planar lightwave circuit. Each channel signals independently modulated by mixing in semiconductor optical amplifiers.
