Abstract :
Based on the ABAQUS/Standard product, strength reduction finite element method (SRFEM) is used to tell the slope factor of safety with Mohr-coulomb plasticity model. And the corresponding parameters varying with the field variable values are set to make SRFEM possible in ABAQUS/Standard. And the soil slope element equivalent plastic strain (PEEQ) is adopted to tell the failure. The results show that SRFEM in ABAQUS is accurate, versatile and with less assumption with comparison against traditional limit equilibrium methods, which can give deformation and stresses of special zone in the slope. And strength reduction factor (SRF) at the time point of monitor node displacement dramatic increasing is set as factor of safety (FOS) of the slope.
