Abstract
A novel algorithm with reduced sensitivity to the changing environment is applied to tracking of the main parameters of arterial circulation. It is a variant of the least-squares algorithm with variable forgetting actor (LSVF), devised to overcome its main practical deficiencies with respect to measurement error sensitivity. To this end an adaptive mechanism is incorporated to estimate observation noise variance. Computer simulation experiments are presented to evaluate its performance at different noise levels.<>
