Abstract
The authors describe an AC motor drive simulation software package for the AC regulator-controlled induction motor in which the motor is modeled on d-q axes in the state space and the AC regulator is modeled using the principles of pulse-width-modulation. The software package is menu-driven and can be employed to either demonstrate open-loop control of the motor drive or investigate the design of closed-loop control algorithms. Example results of some typical open and closed-loop control simulations are presented.
