Abstract :
According to direct vacuum circuit breaker action characteristic, introduced a new kind of single-stable permanent magnetic (PM) actuator. Without changing the outer radius of the single-stable PM actuator, the force develop by PM effects on the plunger was calculated, an ADAMS simulation model for vacuum circuit breaker was constructed, and machine-electromagnetic co-operation simulation was realized. The results indicates that: when PM radius is small enough, single-stable PM actuator dynamic characteristic just like electromagnetic actuator; when PM radius is big enough, greater speed of closing process is easy causing the moving contact bouncing.
