Abstract
A complete adaptive wavelet-based denoising method is presented. By giving the noise power threshold, proposing the distinctive coefficient COF and threshold coefficient th(m) and modifying the edge extraction order, we make the spatially selective noise filtering efficient. An estimation of noise level is also given. The simulations show that the method can keep edges well while substantially removing noise
