Abstract
In recent publications the concept of endomorphic signal modelling has been introduced for the representation of nonstationary signals. The earlier publications outline the basic principles and function of the modelling approach and indicate potential areas of application. The present contribution is concerned with the use of the endomorphic method to speech signal representation and coding. Despite this being the first attempt at the problem of speech coding by such means, the results are supportive of the method
