Abstract :
Satellite position and navigation in urban environments is widely studied. Until now, urban position solutions have not been carried out for high cost and unsatisfying position accuracy. This paper describes a solution, called Urban Satellite Position with the aid from Internet, which utilizes the existing devices of wireless Internet to provide cheaper and more accurate urban position. The protocol used in the proposed solutions is designed to be suitable for mobile phone and exerts the maximum function of the server of wireless Internet, which is powered of large amount of information and computation ability. To describe Internet Aided Urban Satellite Position, the paper focused on the system frame optimization and especially on the aspects of describing server´s responsibility. The paper will describe some simulation and experimental results.
