Abstract
To simulate the benign tumor growth in complex vascular environment accurately, the shape of blood vessels should be coordinated with the truth and, therefore, the mesh of geometric model constructed from the pictures of cut corpse should be rectified and refined. A strategy of rectifying vascular mesh is presented in this paper. In the method, some vertices will move along diameter direction of vessel while a certain condition prevails for the vertices, and the shape of corresponding blood vessel section will be more close to the cylinder. This paper also presents a simplified mesh refining method in an adaptive way. A system of benign tumor growth simulation in blood vessel circumstance is implemented for evaluation purposes, and the result shows that the proposed approach is efficient and accurate in simulating vascular deformation.
