Abstract
A DC/DC switching converter is characterized by cyclic switching of circuit topologies, which gives rise to a variety of nonlinear, such as subharmonics, bifurcation and chaos. This paper derived the iterative map of a DC/DC buck-boost switching current-programmed converter. Based on the iterative map, the largest Lyapunov exponent of the converter is computed, which is used to identify and quantify chaos.
