  • Abstract
    Weak hydrodynamic interaction theory is widely used to describe the signatures of features like fronts and bottom topography in radar images. However, this theory is unable to describe observations with the radar look direction perpendicular to the direction in which the current varies. This is due to the use of a local relaxation source term. In this paper a non-local source term is presented and discussed. It is shown how a non-local source term may solve present discrepancies between theory and experiment
