Abstract :
An input impedance matching technique of a Fabry-Perot (FP) high gain antenna is introduced and demonstrated. By inserting two stubs aligned with the electric fields of the patch antenna, vertically, between the superstrate and the patch, and by adjusting the stub geometry, the input impedance of FP antenna can be matched easily. The FP antenna with the stub has been simulated for different resonant distances. The results show that this matching technique can compensate 13.8% frequency shift of showing maximum directivity.
